Our cousins live in Brooksville, Maine and have created this amazing little world of family, friends, food and music. A few years back, they started making this incredible bread using spelt flour and now have a eager following -the foodies from SF would die over this bread! (They were even written up in the Times. Woa.) In fact, the whole rural Maine scene around the Blue Hill pennisula is now producing some of the most delicious food products from cheese to organic farming and meats.
Here is lovely Bridgette, taking us on a tour of the vegetable and herb gardens:

They have all these little yurts and bread ovens that have sprouted up among the fields:

Every Sunday is open-mic night. Not only are they killer bread bakers, but everyone plays instruments and are in bands. So cool. They have built such a wonderful community…
Here is Skylar, thrilled to have landed in such a groovy place:

Checking out the clouds with Uncle Billy:

One of the bread ovens:

The barn, where the music goes on, and the rest of the house. They are actually making a new oven inside the house, which should be ready by the end of the summer? Right guys?

My Drew, Bridgette getting fooled by a card trick, some cool kid, and Tim -Bridgette’s brother and the one who started it all with some yeast from Africa.

Everybody gets along well at Tinder Hearth:

The scene, the barn:

It was all so beautiful… Music wafting from the barn, yummy meals being passed around, kids playing.

Here is Billy playing in the barn -Will hopped right up on stage, assuming he must be part of the act:

The scene inside the barn:

Oh- and our ride in Maine. The Brougham. Yeah baby…
