This is me doing the whole “newborn baby as a photo prop” thing.  I have to admit it turned out really cute, although I prefer the more natural, true-to-life pictures of the early weeks of a babies life.  Mostly because I know from personal experience how fleeting those introductory weeks are.  I love how the whole family slows way down and sort of floats through the day tired but elated at the same time.

At her birth there were a series of complications, resulting in emergency operations, eating with a feeding tube for months and basically working through more than most adults have had to bear.  Her parents are rocks -I am so impressed with how they have handled everything, so positive and practical -like, “You just do what you have to do for you child, any other parent would do the same.”  But they do it with such grace, it really is inspiring.

I asked before posting if I could share a little about Izzy’s journey and they said ‘share away’ because they want her story to help other people going through something similar and to also think of Izzy and send her prayers.  She is going in for heart surgery on October 6th -so if you think of it that day, please send some well wishes through the air to her…
