For months, members of the magazine’s staff had been writing letters to various governments and embassies, but the project was a five-day-long improvisation, with Platon doing his best to lure the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chávez, and Muammar Qaddafi to his camera.”

Came across this piece in the New Yorker, on-line edition.  He had just seconds with each person but was able to create some really stunning images.  My favorite part is the audio by Platon.  Click on one of the images and listen to him describe what it was like photographing that individual.

Yesterday I did a shoot for the fabulous clothing shop, Emma and Avery.  I almost passed out when I saw Skylar (the model) in this number.  To me, she looks like a piece of candy.

This is also another reason I love photography.  Last post I was grundging things up with TTL borders and today I am separating the subject from the background for a crazy, white-white look.
