Hello! I’m just back from a week away visiting with friends and family in Miami. I brought my “big” camera and my iphone. Guess which one I ended up using everyday… I love Instagram and seem to be posting more there than Facebook -so if you are on Instagram, feel free to follow me: marymchenry. I’d love to see what you are up to as well!

Here are few of my favorite camera apps. There are a lot of great ones out there, but these are the ones I seem to end up using the most:

Camera+ -for shooting and processing
Phonto -for adding text to your photo
VSCO cam -for processing

And other ways to stay in touch, in our digital world:

Twitter, which I’ve finally got the hang of and am having fun with.
Facebook page, lots of recent work goes here.

Rodeo Beach with the Family

Last spring my dad came out to visit -I just found these shots from our little bird watching, surf playing adventure. We went over to Rodeo Beach in Marin. These are the first family shots taken of all of us in a LONG TIME. Thanks, dad. xoxo

Cedar Key, Florida

So after our stay in Jekyll Island, we drove across northern Florida and ended up on Cedar Key, a little island on the west coast. My dad and Carol (a great stepmom, nothing like the deranged women in those Fairytales I’ve been reading to Will) are staying there for a few months.

We were only there for 2 nights and it was rainy most of the time, so the camera got little play. Here are a few shots of the town:

I love this:Dad is reading Skylar one of my favorite childhood books. It’s called Betsy’s Baby Brother. The book shows both breast feeding and a poop in a diaper, so for a 2 year old it is seriously enthralling material.

Jekyll Island, Georgia

So… I went on a little trip with my girl, Skylar and my brother Billy. Or Bill, if you met him after age 10.

Our mom has escaped the Maine winter and is spending some time on Jekyll Island -a beautiful state park off the coast of Georgia. Here are some images from our stay with her…

I loved the moss hanging from the huge oak trees…

Mom, Sky and her dog Ashley Belle. Sky is still telling me that she NEEDS to go to BEACH with Birdie (mom’s grandma name) and Ashley. NOW.

On our last morning, Billy and I got up to see the sunrise with mom. This is something she does every morning on Jekyll. Here we are walking out to the beach:

Next stop- Ceday Key, Fla. My dad and Carol (stepmom) also escaped the Maine winter and are spending a few months on the west coast of Florida. These are all smart Mainers.
