Nilima and Mark are getting married at the Dunsmuir Hellman Estate in September. We decided to do their engagement shoot starting at Ben and Nicks in Rockridge. How cute is Nilima? I love the red dress.

We then went up to this cool little area near the Claremont Hotel. It was a great afternoon -I love how much they make each other laugh.

Cavallo Point Wedding ~ Getting Ready Pictures

Stephanie and Adam got married a couple weekends ago at Cavallo Point Lodge. It was my first wedding of the year and it was a wonderful way to start! The weather was beautiful, the mood was relaxed and happy, and the light in the ‘getting ready’ room was great. That makes me happy.

Oakland Engagement Session

I had the best time with these two. Celeste and Jon had access to the old American Steel building in West Oakland. Celeste and Jon and getting married at Chileno Valley Ranch in June. It will be rolling hills, old barns, blooming flowers, etc. so this was a coll contrast to that setting.

I used to live a few blocks away and have always been dying to check it out. It’s currently used a an artist space -lots of burning man stuff hanging around, people listening to music, drinking beers, spray painting things, etc. I loved it.

There were so many different looks to this shoot so this post is pretty image heavy! Have fun!

I wanted to share with you one of the new fun things I am offering this year. Personalized wedding website! I use the images from your engagement shoot to create the website, you send me the details of the wedding day, and viola! You have your own site, with no random advertising from the wedding channel, etc.

The design is similar to my main site, clean and modern. A guess what? The sites are included in every basic package -there is no extra charge for them. Nice, right?

Simron and Jesse – San Francisco Engagment Session

It was an absolutely gorgeous winter day in San Francisco, great light, great outfits. The whole works. We started out at Sutro Heights Park, and then crossed the street to the old Cliff House. If you have a minute, it’s work checking out the opening page of their site -a great visual history of the Cliff House and the many forms it’s taken over the years!

Anyhoo… it was wonderful to spend time with these two. Simron is as adorable as she is beautiful (and smart -she’s in law school). Jesse is funny, nice and also a visual artist -a videographer. Thank you for the great field trip, you too! (I’d never been out there and loved exploring the area.)

My first shoot of 2011 was so lovely- these two are gems. I’m so glad they have found each other- and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Kunde Winery!

I know they like bluegrass, so I went with one of my favorite songs of all times. It’s actually about heartbreak, but Bonnie Raitt sings it so beautifully that it doesn’t feel sad to me, more a testament to how deeply a person can feel for someone. Enjoy!

Guest Sign-in Album

I’m working on a new studio sample -thought I’d share some spreads! This is for an 8×10 guest sign-in album. I love these albums -by the end of the wedding night, they’ve become a beautiful combination of special photos and well wishes from your closest friends and family. Nice stuff.

In case you are curious, this is Barrie and Ariel. We did their engagement photos at their home in Oakland. They got married a few weeks later at Chileno Valley Ranch -which is outside of Petaluma.

The fabulous Karen and Dave on their wedding day…

They got married in high style (while in Palm Springs, that would be over the top mid-century modern) at the Riviera in Palm Spring, CA. We took a few photos of them in the hotel before the ceremony.
