Elizabeth and Jeff! Mayacama Wedding

Jeff and Elizabeth got married a couple weeks ago at the stunning Mayacama Golf Club. The forecast called for 90% chance rain -but they must be blessed because the rain only came when they were getting ready, during the ceremony and during the dancing. The skies parted for the cocktail hour and picture taking time. I was happy.

When it’s your wedding day, you get to have people put on your earrings for you.

Elizabeth was such a beautiful bride. I remember when we met, one of the first thing I said was I couldn’t wait to see her in her dress. I knew she would be stunning!All the bridesmaids wore these fabulous matching pink heels.I love this card:The pretty bridesmaids!

Elizabeth’s cute flats and a sweet “something old” -Jeff’s grandmother’s hankie that Jeff’s mom shared with Elizabeth.Married!Mayacama!

The band was Tainted Love. This is my favorite wedding band. You really have no choice but to let go and party it up.

I love these guys. I have been photographing this family for several years -from when Ben was in the belly and they were in the Bay Area visiting from Boston! Now when we see each other, we just hang out, chat, catch up on life, exchange kid stories and I have my camera with me. They are also as lovely on the inside as they are on the outside. (A most important phrase drilled into me by my mother.) Enjoy!

When I was in Miami for Christmas, I took my sister-in-law’s family pictures. There is a spot near the grandparents house that gets the prettiest light around 5:30pm. We went there on Christmas Eve and just wandered around, them being their beautiful selves with their new baby Kylie. I was kind of freaking out about the light and setting -it is such a treat to be in a new environment. It felt very “old Florida” to me.

Brody is a master collector- he just discovered the little coral rocks and started a new collection…

My last portrait session of 2010 ended on such a sweet note… We started at their beautiful loft in SOMA and then walked around the Ferry Building. This always proves to be my best flow -take photos hanging out at home and then heading out into fresh air. Thank you, you three, for such a happy afternoon.

Busy Days…

Hi all! Wow, these past few weeks have been packed! So much going on between shoots, lots of school photography, weddings, standard childhood illnesses to put a sudden stop to things, standard grownup illnesses to put a sudden stop to things, and of course the dog needs to be walked as well. This is always an interesting time of year for me -life moves at a pace that is much faster than my natural rhythm, but I’m happy to ride along with it, knowing things will come to a sudden halt in January. Also, I love what I do -which makes me such a lucky girl.

Here is a recent album cover -I’m going to be throwing up little tidbits as they happen over the next couple weeks. Hope you are all having a good fall yourselves, staying healthy and happy and creating nice moments of time with your family in between the rest of life.
