I started in family photography over 15 year ago and love it more and more as the years go by. Moving to Boulder last year brought all sorts of challenges with re-starting my business, but one of the highlights of the process is discovering new locations and learning the light. This family session took place at Walden Pond in Boulder. It’s farther from the mountains so the sunlight touches it for longer than the trails next to the flatirons. The light also has a different quality to it… Magenta/blue light. The fall colors were also incredible -we were lucky to hit them at their peak!
I adore this family and loved making these images for them. In case you are curious, this is a longer session than the mini sessions I’ve been doing. It gives more time for candid moments and lets kids just be kids, messing around and exploring. Also gives the parents a chance to relax. 🙂 We made a tons of posed family pictures too but these are the ones that I liked the best…
