Now that I have moved to Miami, FL I am so excited to be able to easily hop over to Hope Town, Elbow Cay to photograph weddings. I often get questions from couples who are planning their wedding Hope Town, Elbow Cay. Where do I find a great band? Flowers? Where do I get my hair done? Youth Junkanoo Band:
Melinda with Buds and Blossoms (see below) is the best contact if you’d like to hire the local junkanoo youth band. They come over from Marsh Harbour (short ferry ride) and will seriously kick the party off right. Highly recommended.
Melinda at Twigs and Twine is so talented and wonderful to work with. I can’t get over the creations she comes up with!
Monica at the Chopping Block in Hope Town is the source for your wedding day hair:
Jennisan does wonderful work for wedding makeup in Hope Town AND she’s available to photograph elopements in Hope Town!
Tiffany’s Treats are amazing! She makes everything from cakes to cookies to quiches to doughnuts. Check out the link to her Facebook page and you’ll see the huge (and delicious) variety of baked goods she offers.
Sea Biscuits is another delicious options for pastries, bagels, pies and cakes, including gluten free options! Stephen is an artist! He also posts regularly on the FB page, so get ready to get hungry. 🙂
Kent LeBoutillier has been making wedding cakes on Elbow Cay for many years!
Air2O2 is your source for the more delicious water you can get on Elbow Cay. Skip the gallon jugs that taste like plastic. Reach out to Neil and he will hook you up!
Stephen Malone, of the above mentioned Sea Biscuits, also runs Elbow Cay Personal Chef Services. He makes everything from amazing sushi to big dinners for your starving sun-worn friends. 🙂 Perfect for when you all want to hang at home but don’t want to cook!

HOUSE RENTALS:
Da Crazy Crab has a great selection of everything from party gifts, to that perfect sunhat, pretty jewelry, to a gift to bring home and even Cuban cigars!
Hope Town Canvas shop is right in the settlement, next to the bike rental shop. You have to stop in and check out their bags. I own five. Plus a baseball hat. Oh and a dog leash! 🙂 They also make custom-made bridal purses!
You know you want a massage the day before the wedding. 🙂 She also offers fun bridal party paddle board adventures and group yoga classes. Contact Rachel from Rachael Aberle!
The Hope Town Bulletin on Facebook is a great source for information about what’s happening on the island and where you can get a feel for the lovely community here!

For exploring the water and cays without renting your own boat:
Ranaldo can take you out in his boat OR he also offers tours or fishing guide services on rental/personal boats as well as a mate-for-hire for larger fishing vessels. Check out the link above to see recent island explorations!
Clinton Adderley with “Local Boy Fishing and Charting” is a great source for taking you out boating and fishing for the day.
Other things to think about… Rent your golf carts sooner than you think -there are several companies to call but you would be surprised by how fast they all get booked! Same story with boats -call now if you are thinking about renting a boat.
